Job summary

Volt is hiring an Engineering Technician in Richardson, TX to conduct DC and RF testing across DC to mmWave frequencies in our RF lab. The role includes contributing to Design Validation Testing, setting up and calibrating S-parameters and power test stations, and aiding test development engineers to improve setups.

It also involves documenting progress and mentoring teammates. The ideal candidate has AS Engineering and 8 years RF testing experience, with proficiency in PXI systems, RF sources,

Qualifications

• AS Engineering degree and 8 years of RF testing experience.
• Experience with RF testing and PXI-based test systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DC and RF testing from DC to mmWave frequencies in an RF lab environment.
• Contribute to Design Validation Testing process.
• Setup and calibrate S parameters and power test stations following standards.
• Perform limited test setup troubleshooting, assemble fixtures wire harnesses.
• Interact with test development engineers to support test setup improvement when applicable.
• Report test progress to manager and customers.
• Support training sessions and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
