Job summary

Antenna Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a Test Technician to support antenna test activities, calibrate setups, and generate test reports. You will work with engineers to build and test prototype antennas, ensuring measurements meet drawings and specifications.

U.S. Citizenship is required for access to program materials. The role emphasizes RF test equipment, VNAs, and in-depth antenna testing in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF connectors, cables and torque wrenches.
• Experience in Anechoic Chambers is a plus; knowledge of antenna pattern measurements is a plus.
• High proficiency with network analyzers for testing calibration.
• Sets up specialized test equipment for checkout of non-routine assemblies and systems.
• Read drawings and assemble parts accordingly.
• Taking S-parameters using network analyzers.
• Read test plans to understand required testing of antennas.
• Create test reports from test data on antennas.
• Analytical skills to solve problems.
• 2+ years tuning passive microwave components and different antennas.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate test setup to make measurements based on the test plan and create test reports on antennas.
• Collaborate with design and test engineers to build and test prototype antennas and systems.
• Perform operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with specifications.
