Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking an RF Test Engineering Lead to own the full RF test strategy for our Lunar Transfer Stage, driving planning, development, and execution of campaigns critical to safe and successful lunar missions.

The role demands deep technical expertise, proven leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality, with on-site work at Lunar Plant 1 in Merritt Island, FL.

Relocation available; travel up to 25%; night/weekend work during integrated vehicle testing may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 8+ years of RF test engineering experience with leadership of RF test campaigns.
• Experience interpreting RF system requirements and designing end-to-end test campaigns.
• Hands-on experience planning and executing RF tests across multiple frequency bands.
• Experience selecting, configuring, and calibrating RF test equipment.
• Experience with free-radiating RF testing and antenna range assessments.

Responsibilities

• Own the full RF test campaign lifecycle from requirements to closure.
• Translate RF system requirements into test strategies and select suitable equipment.
• Plan and execute functional and performance RF tests across multiple frequency bands.
• Establish RF test system calibration processes ensuring measurement integrity and safety.
• Develop and approve test plans, procedures, and reports for RF verification.
• Lead test readiness reviews, briefings, and anomaly investigations.
• Coordinate test crews, equipment, and scheduling across events.
• Communicate status updates to stakeholders and customers.
• Enforce safety policies during RF test planning and operations.
