Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Manager for RF Test Engineering & Engineering Labs to lead and scale test capabilities for advanced RF systems. You will define modern, automated, data-driven RF test strategies across development, integration, qualification, and production.

The ideal leader has deep RF test expertise, strong leadership, and a vision for automating testing, AI-enabled diagnostics, and standardized test architectures across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in RF test engineering, system validation, or ATE development.
• 3+ years in engineering leadership / people management.
• Hands-on RF test equipment experience (signal generators, analyzers, meters).
• Proven experience building automated RF test systems (ATE).
• Strong RF measurement knowledge (gain, NF, IP3, phase noise).
• Experience with Linux/Windows and Python-based test automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Test Engineering and Engineering Labs organization, including team development and performance management.
• Define and execute a comprehensive RF test strategy across development, I&T, and production.
• Architect and standardize ATE and test frameworks across programs.
• Develop automated test solutions to validate RF metrics such as gain and noise figure.
• Drive test efficiency and throughput via automation and data-driven methods.
• Integrate AI/ML into test workflows for diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure Design-for-Testability practices and lab-to-production alignment.
• Oversee lab operations, capacity planning, calibration strategy, and safety.
• Support proposals with test strategies, cost estimates, and execution plans.
