ICEYE is looking for an RF Test Engineer to join the Experimentation Lab in Valencia. You will capture real emissions from lab and field hardware, build and validate an end-to-end RF record and playback chain, and simulate channel effects across satellites.

You’ll contribute to a growing library of emitter signals and ensure coherent timing, Doppler, and path loss in tests. You’ll work in a dynamic lab environment with direct influence on how ICEYE builds and proves this capability, reporting to

Formación

• Hands-on RF measurement and signal capture with spectrum and real-time signal analysers, vector signal generators, SDRs and oscilloscopes.
• Experience building or integrating an RF record and playback, signal generation or hardware-in-the-loop test system.
• Solid DSP fundamentals: sampling, I/Q, filtering, channelisation, Doppler and timing effects.
• Python (or equivalent) for instrument control and automation, with SCPI/VISA and SDR APIs.
• Calibration discipline: reference planes, path loss and phase characterisation, defensible uncertainty.

Responsabilidades

• Capture real emissions in lab and field, operate equipment in a controlled setup, and record signals with proper bandwidth and timing.
• Characterise captures and create library entries with I/Q, PRI, pulse width, modulation and truth data.
• Build the RF record/playback chain and calibrate the transmission system across multiple emitters.
• Develop a channel simulator path with per-satellite delay, Doppler, path loss and interference, phase-coherent across channels.
• Develop test hardware and Python control code to automate measurements.
• Feed end-to-end loop: inject signals into hardware-in-the-loop chain and align RF stimulus with simulation truth.
• Ensure operations stay lawful and safe with regulators and screening.
