Job summary

TRISTAR in Crane, Indiana, seeks an Engineer (E2) to lead test planning, RF/microwave testing, data analysis, and verification of system requirements for EW systems. You will develop procedures, plan field and lab tests, and document results to support DoD programs.

The role requires collaboration with government stakeholders, strong analytical skills, and travel to test events. U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE with RF/microwave coursework.
• At least 3 years in RF/microwave or electronic systems engineering.
• Experience in test engineering, integration, or verification in a systems environment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Warfare, RF propagation, and signal analysis.
• Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers.
• Ability to translate requirements into verification methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and government stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel for test events.
• Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support DT&E activities for Electronic Warfare systems across the lifecycle.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and reports to verify system requirements.
• Design, plan, and execute lab and field tests including RF/microwave testing.
• Configure and operate test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Analyze test data and produce performance evaluation reports.
• Coordinate with government engineers and IPTs for test planning.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot anomalies, and support root-cause analysis.
• Support test readiness reviews and documentation for DoD programs.
• Assist in maintaining test schedules and resources for testing.
