Job summary

Pole/Zero Corporation, part of Microwave Products Group in West Chester, OH, seeks a Test Engineer to design RF test architectures, fixtures, and benches, and to support engineering and manufacturing with efficient test solutions.

Responsibilities include reviewing testing processes, developing automated tests, and assisting with DVT/Qualification activities while collaborating across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSEET from an accredited college with 5+ years of RF experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Ability to read schematics and work with RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design RF architectures including test fixtures, racks, and benches.
• Review and optimize testing processes with engineers and techs.
• Develop automated test solutions using LabVIEW for development and production.

Summary

As a Test Engineer at Microwave Products Group - Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will Support both engineering and manufacturing functions through the development and implementation of efficient test solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design RF architectures including test fixtures, racks, and test benches
• Work with engineers and technicians to review and optimize current testing processes
• Support standardization of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for engineering and production applications
• Review and implement solutions to leverage performance improvements of new technology
• Develop automated solutions to support development and production testing utilizing NI LabVIEW
• Assist with the development of test plans, procedures, and test instructions
• Perform testing, collect data, and analyze the results, including documentation of the findings
• Support DVT and Qualification activities as required
• Perform maintenance or repairs of equipment and fixtures as required
• Function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Support system integration testing

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Strongly Preferred Include

• Demonstrated experience working hands-on in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Knowledge and familiarity with RF test equipment, such as signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other standard RF test equipment
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, remain organized and complete objectives on time
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Possess practical, hands-on skills and an ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and operators
• Ability to read schematics
• Working knowledge of RF measurements such as bandwidth, gain, selectivity, IL, RL, and other variables
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills
• Proficient soldering skills a plus (J-STD-001 certification preferred)
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, and RTCA/DO-160 a plus
• Knowledge in the use of LabVIEW programming a plus

Requirements Include

• Must be a US Person (US Citizen or permanent resident - green card holder)
• BSEE or BSEET from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with RF based systems required
• Experience with RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Signal Generators required
• Experience with military standards and specifications a plus
• Experience supporting or calibrating RF test architectures a plusExperience performing Measurement System Analysis (MSA) a plus
