Job summary

VTG is seeking a systems integration engineer based at Fort Meade, MD, to support full lifecycle development of a Radio Frequency Processing System. The role involves system administration, software integration, and field deployments.

You will work with Linux, Windows, Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware in lab and field environments, providing Tier 3 support and documentation for upgrades and troubleshooting. A TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience as a software integrator, software tester, systems administrator, or systems engineer on programs of similar scope.
• Foundational experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware vSphere.
• Willingness and ability to travel; lift 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, testing, integration, and configuration of Linux and Windows platforms.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
• Maintain environments for hardware and software system builds, staging, testing, and integration.
• Perform system racking, stacking, testing, cabling, and software integration at field sites and labs.
• Prepare and update technical documentation for installations, sustainment, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Provide Tier 3 support for failures and performance degradation; diagnose and resolve issues.
• Support software development and integration activities in labs and during field installations.
• Create system-specific software baselines and configuration files for deployments and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot information technology systems in depth.
• Travel to support field installations, deployments, testing, and integration.
