Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer to apply engineering principles across the full lifecycle, coordinating with government and program teams to ensure technical success. You will translate user needs into concrete hardware and software specifications while maintaining quality and cost discipline.

The role requires security clearance, advanced engineering degrees, and experience with RF/EMI testing; travel is expected a few times a year.

Qualifications

• Must have current TS/SCI with Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field plus four years of systems engineering experience.
• A High School Diploma or GED with four years of general system engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of systems engineering experience.
• A PhD may substitute for three years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience with coding Python and VBA.
• Strong experience applying RF theory and EMI testing knowledge.
• Familiar with RF tools (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) and components.
• Formulating and documenting test plans.
• Draft and issue technical recommendations through formal test reports.
• Specify and review system and component requirements to ensure performance and cost constraints.
• Travel ability: up to three trips per year.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles across the life cycle phases: Concept through Retirement.
• Interact with Government and program personnel on technical considerations.
• Ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables.
• Plan, perform integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support mission requirements.
