Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in McLean, VA to design, develop, and deploy next-generation RF systems for the IC and DoD. You will work across platforms—terrestrial, UAS, and space-based—designing RF components, implementing SDR configurations, and validating performance in lab and field tests.

The role requires 3+ years of RF system design, experience with vendor SDRs, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in RF system or sub-system design (survey, geolocation, jamming, spoofing).
• Experience with multiple vendor SDR platforms (e.g., Ettus, NI USRP, Epiq Solutions, Per Vices).
• Knowledge of RF front-end components (LNAs, PAs, switches, mixers, filters).
• Ability to use high-end RF test equipment (VSGs, Spectrum Analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Platform RF Integration: design, package, and integrate RF architectures across constraints (SWaP, space, thermal).
• SDR Implementation: interface RF front-ends with SDR platforms for SIGINT and EA configurations.
• Adversarial RF Mitigation: develop hardware/algorithmic approaches for signal analysis, smart-jamming, spoofing countermeasures.
• Geolocation Engineering: implement high-precision RF geolocation (TDOA, FDOA, AOA).
• Simulation and Modeling: model RF propagation, link budgets, multi-emitter environments.
• Lab and Range Testing: lead benchtop validation with hardware-in-the-loop; field tests.
