Job summary

VTG seeks an experienced RF Software Engineer to join our mission-focused team at Fort Meade. You will design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms for a Radio Frequency Processing System, supporting national security initiatives.

The role requires 7+ years in DSP, proficiency with C++, Python, and Linux, and the ability to translate complex models into reliable software. US citizenship with TS/SCI Poly is required; hybrid work up to two days remote may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related DSP field.
• 7+ years of DSP algorithm development experience.
• Experience with C++, Linux, Python.
• U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI Poly required.
• Ability to translate complex DSP algorithms into software.
• Experience with high-throughput signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and optimize DSP algorithms in software.
• Develop algorithms supporting high-throughput signal exploitation and processing.
• Translate DSP concepts into operational software implementations.
• Modify existing software to meet Government requirements.
• Adapt and integrate COTS and GOTS products into RF systems.
• Document algorithms and provide concise technical explanations.
• Collaborate with software, RF, and systems engineers throughout the lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot DSP, firmware, and performance issues.
