Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficient with MATLAB, Python, or C++ or other tools or languages.
• Strong analytical skills.
• A strong technical background in at least one of the following areas:
• Signal processing (detection and estimation theory)
• Digital communications
• Receiver design, channel estimation and equalization
• Machine learning, AI, and optimization algorithms
• System performance analysis
• RF system modeling
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience delivering technical reports, presentations, and/or code, including definition, completion, and technical quality.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S Government issued Security Clearance. Per the U.S. Government’s eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.
• This position requires a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to solve problems across various application areas in communications and signal processing.
• Design models and simulations or lab tests to evaluate technical solutions.
• Define evaluation methodologies for compatibility of communication, radar, and navigation systems in shared/adjoining bands.
• Assess operational impacts of interference on system performance across current and emerging technologies (e.g., 6G).
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Comprehend standards documents to inform modeling & simulation decisions.
• Lead development and contribute to project proposals for sponsors and IR&D.
• Drive research areas, explore novel solutions, and distill information for varied audiences.
