MKS Instruments in Rochester, NY seeks an Service Technician I to partner with service, test and troubleshoot RF products, and ensure quality standards. You will report to the Senior Manager Service and contribute to rapid fault diagnosis and repair.

The role covers basic and complex servicing, documentation, and mentoring of junior technicians, with a focus on safety and high workmanship. A two-year electronics background is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in electronics or related field.
• Experience: 0+ years servicing and repairing RF products or related electronic equipment.
• Technical: Proficiency in using RF test equipment and diagnosing complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Basic Technical Support: diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug RF products.
• Complex Servicing and Repair: in-house servicing and repair of RF products and related systems.
• System Optimization: analyze and implement solutions to improve customer satisfaction.
• Documentation: maintain records of service activities, test results, and communications.
• Mentorship: provide guidance and training to junior technicians.
