Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and optimize complex semiconductor systems. You will analyze requirements, define architectures, perform testing, and ensure seamless subsystem integration across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 7–10 years in systems engineering, experience with electrical sensors, and the ability to drive architecture decisions for high‑technology equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7–10 years of experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience with electrical sensors development and qualification.
  • Ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or develop complex projects integrating electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software.
  • Coordinate with marketing and management to understand system requirements.
  • Lead architecture brainstorming and drive top-level system design decisions.
  • Write detailed subsystem specifications and interfaces for product integration.
  • Define equipment interfaces and ensure up-to-date system architectures documentation.
  • Support system integration during assembly and testing of new designs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to meet quality and customer expectations.
