Job summary

Talley in Woodridge, IL is seeking an Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The role requires proficient use of an RF scanner to accurately pick customer orders and prepare them for shipping. You will work 10:00 a.m.

– 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and speed. forklift operation and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential, along with English reading/writing and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• 1-year warehouse experience.
• Must be able to operate a standard and stand-up forklift.
• Required to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend and reach overhead.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.
• Ability to read and write in English. Basic math skills.
• Customer Service skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive working environment based on team dynamics, mutual respect, and adherence to the organization’s stated principles and values
• Pick customer orders, of all types, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Determine if orders can ship via the manner indicated on the picking ticket and take the necessary actions to resolve incompatible shipping methods
• Provide picked orders to the shipping team / will call support for outbound processing
• Demonstrate and apply analytic problem-solving skills to resolve day-to-day inventory issues that impact order-picking processes
• Participate in daily cleaning and upkeep of the facility
• Displays strong work ethic and honesty and adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Engages in work with a high sense of urgency, highly organized and detail-oriented
• Be open to change and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations
• Additional job duties and responsibilities may be added at any time, as business needs may dictate
