Job summary

CACI is offering a paid summer internship at our Melbourne, FL office for 12 weeks starting May 2027. The intern will assist the program management team across the project lifecycle, supporting planning, tracking, and reporting efforts to ensure timely delivery of tasks and milestones.

The role emphasizes collaboration with material planning and managers, exposure to RF components and systems, and opportunities to develop foundational program management skills in a defense/aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Must be an incoming or graduating high school senior or current undergraduate/graduate student.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting managers in planning, tracking, and executing project tasks and deliverables.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of project documentation, such as timelines, status reports, and risk logs
• Coordinate the supply chain personnel (material planners and buyers) to ensure alignment and effective collaboration
• Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics to ensure program goals are met
• Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting key takeaways and action items
• Monitoring project milestones, deadlines, and dependencies to ensure timely completion
• Collaborating closely with Program Management and Material Planning to reconcile forecasted material demand against actual procurement activity to maintain visibility of shortages, delays, or over-procurement and communicate discrepancies to program leadership
• Identifying risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for process improvements
• Maintaining integrated master schedules and customer reports as needed
• Assisting in the creation of presentations and reports for project updates
• Providing general administrative support to the leadership teams as required
