Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners, LLC is seeking an RF Optimization Engineer to monitor and optimize multi-layer network performance across Sub6, 5G NSA/SA, and LTE. You will conduct end-to-end analysis using OSS KPIs, drive test data, and cell traces to proactively identify bottlenecks affecting accessibility, retainability, mobility, and throughput.

Responsibilities include Worst Cell optimizations, parameter audits, and deep-dive troubleshooting of RRC/DRB failures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of RF engineering experience in mobile networks (LTE/5G).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience with OSS and RF optimization processes is required.

Position Title: RF Optimization Engineer

Position Duties: Monitor and optimize multi-layer network performance across Sub6 (C-Band/FDD), DSS, 5G (NSA/SA), and LTE to ensure superior coverage, capacity, and quality of service. Conduct end-to-end analysis using OSS KPIs, drive test data, and cell traces to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in accessibility, retainability, mobility, and throughput. Perform “Worst Cell” optimizations and regular parameter audits to maintain high-level cluster performance. Execute parameter tuning and feature testing to improve network efficiency and overall subscriber experience. Optimize Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) by fine-tuning NSA SgNB addition, modification, and release parameters, alongside anchor carrier selection for seamless LTE-NR interaction. Configure Massive MIMO beam parameters to maximize SINR, RSRP, and user throughput in 5G NR environments. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting of RRC, ERAB, and DRB failures, as well as handover and call drop causes, to enhance network stability.
Work from home allowed up to 2 days/week. Work may be performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the US.

Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM

Minimum Qualifications: US Bachelors’ degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and three (3) years of experience as an RF engineering professional.

Special Skill Requirements: Must have three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills: LTE FDD; TDD; VoLTE; CBRS; 5G; WCDMA; TAC planning; and OSS.
