Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an RF and Microwave Hardware Design Engineer to develop compact, high-performance RF modules for airborne and ground systems. The role emphasizes hands-on module design, including RF circuits, PCB assemblies, and production handoff, with collaboration across mechanical and avionics teams.

Expected to contribute to front-end assemblies, verification in laboratory settings, and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Hands-on RF/microwave circuit, module, or PCB design with verified measurements.
• Strong knowledge of S-parameters, impedance matching, and noise figure.
• Experience with RF labs and calibration methods.
• Ability to work on-site in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Design RF/microwave modules from requirements to production release with appropriate scope.
• Develop active/passive RF circuits (LNA/PA, filters, mixers, switches, etc.).
• Perform circuit/EM analysis and correlate models with measured hardware.
• Create/review RF PCB layouts with controlled impedance and grounding.
