Job summary

RTX is seeking a college graduate to join the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) in Andover, MA as part of the engineering test team. You will perform RF/microwave/millimeter-wave measurements on GaAs/GaN devices, assemble test systems, and use software to control equipment and analyze results.

You will gain hands-on experience with PNAs, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and software like LabVIEW, Python, and ADS to advance measurement techniques and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience or coursework in RF/microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis.
• Lab experience in RF/microwave device and circuit measurements preferred.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity exists for a college graduate to join our engineering test teams at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

What You Will Do:

• Perform RF/microwave/millimeter-wave measurements on GaAs and GaN devices, modules and MMICs (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits)
• Perform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements
• Assemble RF/microwave/millimeter-wave test systems
• Use software to control test equipment and plot test results

What You Will Learn:

• RF/Microwave measurement techniques including wafer probing, fixtured devices, pulsed measurements
• Use of test equipment such as Performance Network Analyzers (PNAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Noise Figure Analyzers, Load-Pull systems etc
• Use of software tools such as Labview, Python and Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) to control test equipment and manipulate test date
• Measurement trouble-shooting techniques

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• Experience/coursework in one or more of the following: RF/microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Electromagnetics

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Lab experience specific to RF/microwave device and circuit measurements
• Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
• Experience with any of the following software: Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics' Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
