Job summary

Mini-Circuits, a leader in RF and microwave components, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer I. You will design mechanical parts for surface mounted or through-hole insertion and enclosure concepts for circuits, while collaborating with electrical and packaging teams to ensure robust packaging solutions.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, 1–2 years hands-on experience, and proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, and SolidWorks, along with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
• 1-2 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficient with CAD software such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, and SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of connectorized products, surface-mount products and PCB manufacturing methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts for surface mounted or through-hole insertion; create enclosures for circuits.
• Provide mechanical design inputs for PCB and ceramic substrates during design phase.
• Develop outlines and case styles for models; coordinate with electrical engineering and packaging groups.
• Prepare BOM details for all mechanical components to feed to model designers.
