Eastern Communications, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to ensure the integrity and readiness of mission-critical communications systems.

You will bridge system design to deployment, performing commissioning, optimization, and expert technical support for public safety and utilities across Washington, with periodic West Region travel. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience with advanced system-level expertise.
• Hands-on experience with LMR systems (P25, DMR, analog) or similar.
• Strong RF and IP-network troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
• Experience using RF/network test equipment (service monitors, spectrum analyzers).
• Familiarity with L3Harris, Tait, Zetron, Kenwood or similar platforms.

Responsabilités

• Build, configure, stage, and commission radio communications systems (P25, DMR, analog).
• Perform end-to-end system testing and acceptance against specs.
• Conduct RF coverage testing, site optimization, and RF propagation verification.
• Integrate hardware, firmware, and software releases into networks.
• Execute system upgrades, migrations, and cutovers with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot RF and network issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain system documentation, baselines, and logs.
• Serve as escalation point for major faults and outages.
• Mentor System Technicians and support field staff.
