Job summary

Skyworks AIS seeks a Winter/Spring co-op (Jan–June 2027) for an engineering student aiming to become a hardware systems engineer in RF engineering and wireless audio. You will join the SOC and systems applications teams to design, review, and test board-level electronics.

The role interfaces with chip/SOC, software and wireless groups, supporting RF link validation and bench testing, and debugging hardware and system performance.

Qualifications

• Must be undergraduate or postgraduate student working towards an Electrical or Computer Engineering degree.
• Basic understanding of RF, microwave and wireless communication systems theory and technologies.
• Some knowledge of analog and mixed mode electronic design.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel and Word) and have an aptitude for quickly learning other company-specific software.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and love challenges. Ability to take ownership with moderate supervision and ask for help when needed.
• Good communication, organization, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Your role will be within our SOC and systems applications teams.
• You will be involved in maintaining and reviewing board level electronic system designs, schematics, and layouts.
• You will interface with other engineering teams within the business unit, including our chip/SOC development team, our software development team and our wireless team.
• You will support RF Link validation including performing and automating bench, field, and wireless coexistence testing.
• You will help debug customer hardware and system performance issues.
• You will perform RF bench testing and evaluation of customer and Skyworks development hardware.
