AV is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern – RF & Hardware (Counter-UAS) for our San Diego office. You will contribute to RF front-end design, PCB validation, and test software development across the hardware lifecycle from prototype to production.

You’ll work with RF engineers, firmware, and production teams, gaining experience in analog/digital design, FPGA, SDR, and test automation in a defense-focused environment.

Competenze

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Coursework or project experience in RF/microwave circuits, antennas, or electromagnetics; analog/digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, USB, or Ethernet.
• Basic programming experience in Python, C, C++, or C#.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

Mansioni

• Assist design, bring-up, and debugging of RF and mixed-signal PCBAs (LNAs, filters, PA, switches).
• Perform RF measurements using spectrum analyzers, VNA, signal generators, and power meters.
• Develop and maintain automated test software (Python, C/C++, or C#) for hardware validation.
• Support schematic capture, layout reviews, and documentation in Altium.
• Assist firmware integration and testing on embedded processors and SDR/FPGA hardware.
• Participate in test plan creation and environmental/performance testing.
• Support failure analysis and yield improvements in production.
