Job summary

Curtiss-Wright TTC is seeking an RF Hardware Engineer, Lead in Newtown, PA, to design and analyze RF circuits for defense telemetry systems. The role requires hands-on experience with HFSS, Microwave Office, and PSpice, plus strong leadership and collaboration across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience, an MSEE preferred, and familiarity with RF transmitter/receiver architectures.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering (from an accredited college or university) with a minimum of 7 years experience required.
  • MSEE with 7 years experience preferred.
  • Experience designing RF circuits operating from 400MHz through 6GHz.
  • Familiarity with RF transmitter/receiver architectures.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional design teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design RF circuits operating from 400MHz through 6GHz and power levels from milliwatts through 50 watts CW, up to 500 Watts pulsed power.
  • Analyze matching networks, gain, and active filtering parameters.
  • Design, simulate, and analyze analog and RF circuits using HFSS, Microwave Office, PSpice.
  • Design, simulate, and analyze DC power supplies.
  • Understand performance characteristics of passive and active RF circuits.
  • Support design process from requirements through production release.
  • Conduct SRR, PDR, CDR design reviews and address actions.
  • Utilize RF test equipment for troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization.
  • Perform de-rating and reliability analyses.
  • Support in-house and customer-required root cause corrective actions.

As an RF Design Engineer, Lead, you will have hands on experience with development, testing, and modeling tools and programs used for those tasks.
