Job summary

Astranis is seeking an RF Hardware Engineer Associate for Summer 2027 in Northern California. The role focuses on designing, simulating, implementing, and testing RF sub-systems for microwave frequencies to support space-grade hardware on our satellites.

As an Associate Engineer, you’ll work with senior engineers, help integrate RF modules with the spacecraft, and support measurements and validation tasks. Intern roles are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Passion for hardware development and hands-on design.
• Four-year degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of RF concepts, such as transmission lines and impedance matching.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing RF hardware for microwave frequencies.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS or HFSS).
• Experience taking RF measurements with spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
• Open to applicants who do not meet all criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and measure passive/active RF sub-systems at microwave frequencies.
• Integrate these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team.
