Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Design Tech BBI to support the RF engineering, design, and project tracking for rollout of subscriber services and to provide quality signal across broadband voice, video, and data networks.

The role involves maintaining company-wide mapping/design, field surveys, and QC of cable plant from the node through distribution and FTTH networks, with attention to DOT mapping and design prints. A valid driver's license and 6 months’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Strong computer and MS Office/Excel skills required.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing in current state.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Design Tech BBI.
• Knowledge of CATV system plant components and home wiring.
• Knowledge of FTTH and HFC design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mapping and design to meet technical requirements and standards, ensuring a cohesive network and high customer satisfaction.
• Perform field survey, design, engineering, as-build, and quality control of cable plant from node to distribution/FTTH networks.
