Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering MS or PhD program.
  • Commitment to on-site work for 3–6 months between June and December 2027.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make impact.
  • Strong interest in RF/microwave Engineering and Electromagnetics.
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Design/develop Multi-chip modules with experienced engineers.
  • Design semi-lumped RF matching networks, integrated passive devices, couplers.
  • Run simulations with HFSS, ADS.
  • Participate and present in design reviews.
  • Perform lab testing with RF test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design or technical issues.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians.

Description

In this co-op opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art
RF front-end module, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts
within Skyworks. Not only you will get to know how things work in industry, but you will also accumulate advanced
technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as exploring full-time job opportunities at Skyworks.

Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with experienced engineers to design/develop Multi-chip modules
  • Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks, integrated passive devices, couplers, etc.
  • Running simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.
  • Participating and presenting in design reviews
  • Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
  • Trouble-shooting and resolving design or technical issues
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians
Required Experience and Skills

Candidate must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) Masters or Ph.D. program.

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programs
  • Commitment for working on site for 3 - 6 months or more during June to December 2027
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make impact
  • Strong career interest in RF/microwave Engineering and Electromagnetics
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
Desired Experience and Skills
  • Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS
  • Hands‑on experience in lab using network analyzer and other RF instruments
  • Knowledge of PA design is a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
