Zusammenfassung

OpenAI's Consumer Devices team is seeking a Wireless Regulatory Engineer to drive RF exposure testing and regulatory compliance for our next-generation wireless products. You will work closely with RF, antenna, hardware, software, and regulatory teams to ensure designs meet requirements while maintaining performance.

The role is based in Mountain View, CA, with a hybrid model (four days in the office) and relocation assistance for new employees.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Computer Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with SAR/RF exposure testing and wireless regulatory testing.
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals and measurement techniques.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into engineering decisions.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute RF exposure test and validation strategies for consumer wireless products.
• Partner with engineering teams to evaluate product designs for compliance risks.
• Perform and analyze RF exposure measurements and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Support product development from prototype through certification and production.
• Coordinate testing with external laboratories and review results and documentation.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical engineering guidance.
• Balance regulatory needs with product performance with RF/antenna teams.
• Develop tools/workflows to improve testing efficiency and data analysis.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive effective solutions.
• Support global regulatory certification activities for wireless products.
