Job summary

Stellant Systems, Inc. in Melville, NY is seeking an RF Engineering Technician to perform tests on RF microwave, analog and digital assemblies. You will set up and calibrate CW and Pulse test setups and solder/assemble while reading schematics to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• RF devices and microprocessor experience required.
• RF test equipment such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers knowledge.
• J-Std soldering/assembly experience preferred.
• Costpoint/ERP/MS Office proficiency.

Job Title: RF Engineering Technician

Salary: $35.00-$45.00/hr DOE

Job Location: Melville, NY (100% onsite)

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental and repetitive tests of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies (RF Microwave, Analog and Digital) to determine if the assemblies meet specification.
• Setup and configuration of RF microwave test setups for both CW and Pulse applications.
• Setup and configuration of both digital and analog subassembly test setups using standard laboratory equipment.
• Work from schematics, specifications, sketches, or other authorized information to determine performance requirements of equipment being tested.
• Repair, adjust, and calibrate equipment to bring it within requirements.
• Active soldering and mechanical assembly of equipment to repair, adjust and calibrate equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or 2 years Associate Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior related experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology highly preferred.
• RF Devices and Microprocessor required experience. RF Test equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc. all required
• RF Microwave tuning experience highly preferred.
• RF Microwave soldering/assembly experience. J-Std certification highly preferred.
• Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency
