Job description

Potential relocation assistance for an exceptional candidate

Our client is a growing in-building wireless organization looking for a technically credible RF leader who wants more than a narrow design or corporate management role. This is an opportunity to help shape a growing Cellular DAS capability, influence engineering standards and processes, and stay close to the technical work that drives successful projects. The right person will combine hands-on DAS experience with sound leadership judgment, knowing when to personally step into a difficult RF challenge and when to delegate, coach, and validate the work of others.

This Role Offers
  • Direct influence over how a growing wireless engineering function approaches standards, tooling, technical development, and project execution.
  • Access to quality RF test equipment, plus support for relevant technical training and certifications.
  • A visible role with access to leadership and meaningful ownership of technical outcomes rather than layers of corporate process.
  • Benefits that include a 401(k) match, employer-supported health coverage, and vehicle or car-allowance options depending on the role's needs.
Focus
  • Own technical outcomes across DAS projects, connecting field discovery, engineering decisions, commissioning, performance validation, and final turnover.
  • Stay technically engaged, stepping into complex RF problems when needed while assigning routine or specialized work to the right team members.
  • Guide engineers, designers, drafters, and field technicians through clear priorities, practical coaching, technical review, and accountable follow-through.
  • Strengthen Cellular DAS capability through hands-on knowledge of active systems, commissioning, optimization, systems performance, and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate RF data and field conditions, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical direction for engineering and field teams.
  • Review system architecture, engineering assumptions, equipment selections, bills of material, test results, and technical packages for quality and constructability.
  • Support site surveys, field planning, system activation, troubleshooting, and technical escalations when project conditions require senior involvement.
  • Build repeatable engineering practices, including review gates, technical standards, training, and lessons learned that improve delivery without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Communicate technical issues clearly with project teams, customers, contractors, manufacturers, authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Help develop less experienced technical staff while recognizing when specialist expertise should lead the solution.
Skill Set
  • Hands-on experience personally executing DAS or in-building RF work, with the technical depth to explain what you did, how you validated it, and what you learned.
  • Practical understanding of the DAS project lifecycle beyond design alone, including field assessment, commissioning, optimization, troubleshooting, and completion activities.
  • Strong RF fundamentals and the judgment to review another person's technical work, challenge assumptions, and recognize when results do not make sense.
  • Experience with Cellular DAS is highly valued, particularly active DAS, systems performance, optimization, commissioning, or field engineering.
  • Comfort working with RF test and measurement data from tools such as spectrum analyzers, scanners, test phones, sweep or PIM equipment, or comparable platforms.
  • Sound delegation judgment, including knowing which problems require your direct involvement and which should be assigned, coached, and reviewed.
  • Clear customer-facing communication and the ability to explain technical decisions without relying on jargon.
  • Technical humility and self-awareness, including the willingness to be precise about your actual level of proficiency and learn from others.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who can credibly say they have performed the work themselves, understand what good technical execution looks like, can troubleshoot when circumstances demand it, and also know how to build capability in the people around them.
