Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a RF Engineering Intern to join the team for a 3-month in-person internship at our Torrance HQ. You’ll work with engineers on analysis, testing, and measurement of RF/microwave electronics for large satellites, gaining exposure to other subsystems within the engineering organization.

You will qualify RF hardware through environmental testing and assist with design, analysis, and validation from UHF to Ka-band, collaborating with mentors and stakeholders on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering or related field.
• 6+ months of practical engineering experience outside coursework.

Responsibilities

• Operate antenna measurement assets (anechoic chambers, near-field scanners).
• Qualify RF hardware through environmental testing (vibration, shock, TVAC).
• Support design, analysis and validation of RF/microwave hardware from 200 MHz to 31 GHz.
• Perform development and production tests to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate design and testing into the spacecraft system.
