Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking an RF Engineer to join the engineering team in Maryland. The role involves cutting-edge RF research, bench testing with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes to troubleshoot hardware and optimize wireless systems under real-world conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a TS/SCI clearance, a BS in a relevant field, and 7 years of RF experience, including anechoic chamber work and proficiency with RF modulation types.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance must be current.
• BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or related field.
• 7 years of previous work experience.
• RF characterization engineering experience.
• Knowledge and proficiency with antenna gain measurements and beam patterns.
• Experience with use of an anechoic chamber.
• Strong understanding of RF modulation types.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF characterization models, link budgets, and simulations to predict performance before hardware builds.
• Characterize RF front ends, transceivers, and sub-assemblies across broad operational frequency ranges.
• Correlate empirical lab and field data with predictive models to refine simulations and system architectures.
• Design, coordinate, and execute RF experimentation in a RF benchtop lab, anechoic chamber and field environment.
• Conduct antenna pattern measurements including far-field and near-field, beam pattern verification, and antenna gain evaluations.
• Perform outdoor range propagation experiments and operational stress assessments.
