Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC in the United States is seeking a Staff RF Engineer to support development and production of complex multi-function RF modules for high-reliability applications across the product life cycle.

The role involves designing circuits, modules, and subsystems from concept to prototyping and full-rate production, solving challenging problems, and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 8+ years of professional experience; or 6+ years with a related Master's degree.
• Extensive RF design experience at the CCA/subsystem/module level.
• Experience with schematic capture, RF block diagrams reviews, and CCAs.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting design and resolving integration issues.
• Experience using microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers); tools include ADS, CST, HFSS.
• Eligible to obtain a secret clearance (interim secret level) before start.
• A Master’s degree and active secret clearance are desirable.
• Significant defense electronics experience and RF subsystem hardware expertise are desired.
• Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools and microelectronics assembly is desired.
• Strong technical documentation skills and experience leading technical projects are valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop circuits, modules, and sub-systems from concept to prototyping and full-rate production.
• Collaborate with hardware, system, and design engineers; mentor junior engineers.
• Analyze complex problems and provide innovative, reliable solutions.
• Lead and contribute to qualification and production readiness activities.
• Document specifications, test data, and design decisions; support project leadership.
