Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Head-End/RF Engineer in the Clearwater/Tampa/Ft. Myers area for on-site work. You will lead deployment, management, and optimization of RF origination, distribution, modulation, and RF over Glass for live content.

The role requires a Bachelor's in EE and 3+ years in RF/HFC, with hands-on experience across satellite, IP, fiber transport, and RF headend operations. On-site duties include operating with a company vehicle and supporting scalable, secure broadcast

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in RF/HFC systems and broadcast engineering, with a focus on satellite, IP, and fiber transport.
• Experience with RF headend operations and video distribution technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end RF distribution from satellite, fiber, IP streams and OTT platforms.
• Ensure RF signals are high quality with regular checks and error correction.
• Manage RF systems for live content ensuring local origination performance to headend.
• Monitor and troubleshoot RF feeds for minimal downtime and rapid resolution.
• Install and maintain RF components: receivers, antennas, optical transmitters, EDFAs, splitters and amplifiers.
• Apply signal analysis techniques to ensure consistent RF quality.
• Install and configure OTA receivers/antennas, Satellite antennas, L-band optical/RF, HFC, IP-to-RF modulation.
• Implement scalable and redundant RF solutions for high performance.
• Collaborate with network team to optimize RF transport over coax and fiber.
• Troubleshoot network issues affecting RF transport for stable delivery.
• Implement and maintain security practices for signals in distribution equipment.
