Job summary

TRISTAR seeks an RF Engineer (JCREW) to support the development and integration of advanced RF and EW systems in a collaborative, innovative environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of microwave/RF experience, plus hands-on measurement with RF test equipment. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required. Limited travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of related professional experience in microwave and radio frequency design, RF test, RF systems engineering, or closely related work.
• Hands-on experience with RF measurement and laboratory equipment, including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and signal generators.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, integration, testing, and evaluation of RF and EW systems, subsystems, and supporting test infrastructure.
• Perform RF signal analysis, waveform generation, modulation assessment, and technical evaluation of RF communications and propagation effects.
• Use RF laboratory and test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators, and related instrumentation to construct, acquire, define, measure, and evaluate RF signals and waveforms.
• Support laboratory, field, and operationally relevant test events, including setup, execution, troubleshooting, data collection, and post-test analysis.
• Assist with RF modeling and simulation, verification and validation, and assessment of RF coverage, antenna effectiveness, and related performance characteristics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting systems engineering, software development, modeling and simulation, and test and evaluation activities.
