Connexion Systems & Engineering Inc. seeks an RF Engineer (Contract) in Chelmsford, MA onsite. The role runs second shift (4:00 PM–2:30 AM) with initial training on first shift for six weeks.

Requires Secret clearance, BS in Electrical Engineering (or STEM) and 5+ years of experience. Duration is 12/7/2026–12/6/2027; pay rate $70.00–$97.12/hour with OT. Strong RF/microwave skills and production-oriented mindset are essential.

RF Engineer (Contract)

Active Secret Clearance Required. Location: Chelmsford, MA 01824 (Onsite Full-Time). Work Schedule: Second Shift (Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM). Important Note: Selected contractors are required to train on First Shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) for the first 6 weeks before transitioning to Second Shift.

Duration: 12/7/2026 – 12/6/2027. Pay Rate: $70.00-97.12 / Hourly (OT40).

Position Overview Key Responsibilities

• Support the production of complex multi-function modules used in challenging high-reliability applications across all product life-cycle phases.
• Work on complex technical problems, providing innovative and ingenious solutions.
• Act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with operational product implementation.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, systems engineers, circuit design engineers, and manufacturing support personnel.
• Lead failure investigations on production or technical issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance required to start (must be active/confirmed at time of submittal).

Education & Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a STEM degree (accepted), plus 5+ years of relevant professional engineering experience (Level 3 equivalent: BS + 6–8 years or MS + 4–6 years). An MS in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is a plus.

Core Technical Skills

• Experience troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on hardware experience.
• Proficiency with RF microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools.

Desired Expertise

• Defense electronics industry background; expertise with RF subsystems and hardware (antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, LNAs, HPAs, mixers, switches, frequency generation/conversion circuits); microelectronics assembly techniques; and technical documentation (specifications, schematics, test data).
