RF Engineer

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced RF Engineer with software development skills to support our electronic warfare(EW) science and technology (S&T) lab. The ideal candidate will develop system/signal of interest (SOI) models, integrate third-party models, and collaborate with intelligence and mission partners to develop and evaluate electronic attack (EA)countermeasures in a lab environment. This role is crucial in protecting Army platforms and soldiers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and integrate system/signal of interest (SOI) models

2. Work with intelligence and mission partners to develop and evaluate EA countermeasures

3. Conduct lab testing, including direct-inject (wired) testing

4. Utilize software-defined radios and related technologies

5. Maintain relationships with the intelligence community to stay updated on RF-enabled systems of interest

6. Travel as needed to support tests and demonstrations

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or PhD with 0 years of experience in a relevant fi eld

2. Experience in software development processes for creating and integrating system models

3. Hands-on experience in RF lab environments

4. Proficiency with software-defined radios (e.g., Ett us, Epiq), GNU Radio, and/or firmware programming

5. Strong MATLAB skills, including Simulink and relevant toolboxes (DSP, signal processing, radar, etc.)

6. Knowledge of commercial communication protocols

7. Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, VHDL, and C++

8. U.S. Citizenship

9. Active Secret Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of open/modular architectures and frameworks (MOSA, CMOSS)

2. Experience with common/collaborative framework environment (CFE) EW framework

3. Experience creating containerized software packages (Docker, Podman, etc.)

4. Active TS/SCI Clearance

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
