Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled Electronics/ RF test technician to support evaluation, rework and repair of RF electronics, assemblies, and related systems at Fort Bliss. The role requires hands-on fault isolation to the component level with strong RF test experience.

The candidate should have an AA/AS degree with 6+ years of relevant work, familiarity with RF hardware, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. This onsite position offers comprehensive benefits and a structured work schedule.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree with minimum 6 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in RF electrical/electronic evaluation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with use of test/measurement equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate failed electrical assemblies and components to determine root cause with RF hands-on evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot electronics through hands-on knowledge, not scripted procedures.
  • Demonstrate ownership to meet deliverables and timelines.
  • Collaborate with senior Electrical Engineering, test technicians, and QA to repair and return items.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics.
  • Maintain ESDS precautions and processes for compliance.
  • Support CPI projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • This is a 1st shift, onsite role.

Raytheonis seeking successful candidate to perform any combination of the following tasks in support of the evaluation/rework/repair of various product lines including (but not limited to) Radio Frequency (RF) electronics, electronics assemblies, high-power distribution assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, cable/harness assemblies, electronics rack-mount systems/chassis, circuit card assemblies, and other similar-complexity assemblies.

What You Will Do
  • Evaluate failed electrical assemblies, products, and components – using test and measurement equipment to determine the root cause of failure down to the component level – with strong emphasis on RF Test and Evaluation hands-on experience.

  • Electronics troubleshooting through technical experience and knowledge – NOT through the use of pre-written step-by-step procedures.

  • Strong sense of ownership and self-driven to meet or exceed deliverable expectations.

  • Work with senior Electrical Engineering, test technicians, and product Quality Assurance towards evaluating, repairing, and moving failed assemblies through established Repair & Return processes.

  • Proficient in reading and fully interpreting Assembly Drawings and Schematics

  • Maintain control of all Electro-static Sensitive Device (ESD) precautions and processes – ensuring full compliance to established ESD processes.

  • Support the culture of Continuous Process Improvements (CPI) Projects.

  • This will be a 1st shift, onsite role.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in RF Electrical/electronic evaluation/troubleshooting

  • Experience with use of test and evaluation measurement equipment, including (but not limited to): DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • 5 years or more Electrical Test Technician experience

  • Electrical Test Technical School Degree

  • Radio Frequency RF troubleshooting experience

  • DOD contract experience

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
