Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to evaluate failed RF assemblies and components, performing hands-on analysis with measurement equipment. You will work with senior engineers to diagnose, repair, and route parts through Return processes, ensuring ESD compliance and quality. Strong reading of drawings, and CPI participation are expected.

The role is on-site in a 1st shift, with benefits and a clear path to security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in RF Electrical/electronic evaluation/troubleshooting.
  • Experience with use of test and evaluation measurement equipment, including DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate failed electrical assemblies and components to determine root cause down to the component level, with RF test focus.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and QA to repair and move failed assemblies through standard processes.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics; maintain ESDS handling per policy.
  • Support CPI projects and maintain compliance with ESD processes.

What You Will Do

Evaluate failed electrical assemblies, products, and components – using test and measurement equipment to determine the root cause of failure down to the component level – with strong emphasis on RF Test and Evaluation hands‑on experience. Electronics troubleshooting through technical experience and knowledge – NOT through the use of pre‑written step‑by‑step procedures. Strong sense of ownership and self‑driven to meet or exceed deliverable expectations. Work with senior Electrical Engineering, test technicians, and product Quality Assurance towards evaluating, repairing, and moving failed assemblies through established Repair & Return processes. Proficient in reading and fully interpreting Assembly Drawings and Schematics. Maintain control of all Electro‑static Sensitive Device (ESD) precautions and processes – ensuring full compliance to established ESD processes. Support the culture of Continuous Process Improvements (CPI) Projects. This will be a 1st shift, onsite role.

Qualifications You Must Have

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years or more Electrical Test Technician experience.
  • Electrical Test Technical School Degree.
  • Radio Frequency (RF) troubleshooting experience.
  • DOD contract experience.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
