Radar DSP Engineer (Contract, Remote – 10+ Years Experience)

Remote (U.S. Persons Only) | 1099 Contract | Flexible Hours | Start: 2–3 Weeks

Valence Intelligence Systems is hiring a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to lead a feasibility-stage DoD radar project focused on improving long-range detection in low-SNR, cluttered environments. This is a funded effort with a clear path to Phase II/III transition and system integration. You'll play a key role in shaping the system architecture and simulation strategy alongside the PI.

What You’ll Do

Design and simulate advanced radar DSP algorithms

Model detection performance using MATLAB (preferred) or Python

Develop test plans, performance metrics, and final feasibility report

Collaborate with the PI on TRL progression and transition planning

What We’re Looking For

10+ years in radar signal processing, EW, or SIGINT

Deep experience with detection in low-SNR and cluttered environments

Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for modeling and simulation

U.S. Person (Citizen or Green Card holder)

Cleared or clearable preferred (not required for this phase)

Prior DoD/SBIR work is a plus but not required
