Job summary

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support Southern California and the Southwest region. The role focuses on designing in-building wireless systems (DAS and small cells), validating performance against carrier KPIs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will work with iBwave/Atoll/Planet, develop data-rich design packages, and support sales engineering and project delivery teams with technically sound solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related technical field.
• 3–7 years of RF design experience for in-building wireless systems.
• Experience with RF fundamentals and carrier performance metrics.
• Proficiency with iBwave, Atoll, Planet or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF designs for DAS and small cell deployments to meet coverage and capacity targets.
• Perform RF modeling, propagation analysis, and KPI validation (RSSI/RSRP, SINR, throughput).
• Create design packages, antennas, layouts, and system configurations for multi-carrier deployments.
• Review designs for carrier submission and ensure compliance with standards.
