Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Connector Design Engineer to partner with customers, suppliers and engineers to create innovative connector designs, tooling, and assembly processes, aiming to transition from concept to producible product.

The role requires strong problem-solving, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to travel up to 25%. You will perform RF simulations, develop 3D models, support manufacturing, and collaborate across sales and program management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with accountability for goals.
• Self-starter able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design new products or make modifications to existing products.
• Interact with customers to understand their requirements and incorporate them into new product designs.
• Work closely with sales, program managers, and application engineers on new products.
• Develop assembly processes and assembly tooling.
• Perform RF simulation analysis and build and test prototypes to optimize designs prior to release.
• Create/maintain/update 3D design models and associated drawings. Process engineering change requests.
• Provide technical support for existing products to solve design-related performance, quality and cost issues.
• Work with suppliers and internal partners to assure/improve manufacturability of new and existing designs.
• Other duties as assigned.
