Job summary

ITERRA in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, seeks an RF engineer to design, model, and validate the detection stack for Group 1-3 UAS. You will perform SDR signal characterization, antenna modeling, and lab measurements using GNU Radio and SDR hardware.

You own the end-to-end RF chain from antenna to demodulated symbols, report to the CTO, and work on-site with opportunities for early equity and strong benefits including health coverage and wellness support.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering; M.S. in RF, electromagnetics, or communications is a plus and counts as experience.
Roughly one to four years of hands-on work in RF engineering or related projects.
Hands-on demonstrable experience with antenna design, measurements, and RF system integration.

Responsibilities

SDR signal characterization: raw IQ, modulation, bandwidth, and labeling.
Antenna and array modeling: in-house designed antennas, impedance, pattern, and mutual coupling.
RF front-end and link modeling: link budgets, noise figure, and dynamic range.
Fabrication and measurement: RF PCB, sheet metal, VNA, and calibration.
Test bench and procedure: repeatable measurement and documentation.
Over-the-air collection and ground truth: field targets and metadata.
Compliance with government criteria and rugged field operation.
