Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an RF Analog Design Engineer in Huntsville, AL, to develop high-performance RF and mixed-signal front-end architectures for defense and aerospace platforms. You’ll work with FPGA, PCB, and embedded software teams across the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes analog/mixed-signal design up to 18 GHz, low-noise power, clocking systems, and collaboration with hardware teams to ensure robust, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Expertise designing complete RF and mixed-signal signal chains, including RF front ends, analog filtering, ADC/DAC interfaces, clock generation, synchronization, and low-noise power architectures.
• Experience taking RF hardware from concept to production, including schematic capture and PCB implementation.
• Strong RF design theory knowledge: filtering, impedance matching, noise mitigation, shielding, grounding, and high-speed PCB layouts.
• Experience selecting and integrating high-speed ADCs/DACs from TI, Analog Devices, or similar manufacturers.
• RF circuits operating up to 18 GHz with solid digital interfaces to FPGA-based processing.
• Experience with programmable clock generation and distribution for multiple sampling rates.
• Designing low-noise power supplies for mixed-signal/RF systems.
• Hands-on lab work with RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators).
• Collaborating with PCB layout engineers for controlled impedance routing and manufacturability.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for analog/mixed-signal performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Design RF signal paths and low-noise analog circuitry for high-performance embedded computing products.
• Collaborate with FPGA, PCB, embedded software, and systems engineers across the lifecycle.
• Develop RF front-end architectures for defense and aerospace applications.
• Support concept through production, addressing signal integrity and architecture decisions.
