Top Echelon LLC in Austin, TX seeks an RF Analog Design Engineer to develop high-performance RF and mixed-signal front-ends for defense and aerospace applications. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Expertise designing complete RF and mixed-signal signal chains (RF front ends, filtering, ADC/DAC interfaces, clocking, synchronization).
  • Experience taking RF hardware from system architecture through schematic capture, PCB, debugging, validation and production.
  • Strong RF design theory knowledge: filtering, impedance matching, noise, shielding, grounding, high-speed PCB.
  • Experience selecting and integrating high-speed ADCs/DACs from TI, Analog Devices, or similar.
  • Experience designing RF circuits up to 18 GHz and understanding DF interfaces to FPGA processing.
  • Experience designing programmable clock generation and distribution for multiple sampling rates.
  • Experience designing low-noise power supplies for RF/mixed-signal systems.
  • Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop RF analog front-end architectures for high-performance embedded systems in defense/aerospace.
  • Design RF signal paths, low-noise analog circuitry, clocking, and power architectures.
  • Collaborate with FPGA, PCB, embedded software, and systems teams throughout lifecycle from concept to production.
  • Address signal integrity challenges and influence architecture decisions for RF/mixed-signal platforms.
