Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group in Springfield, OH is hiring a machine operator to rewind fabric rolls, thread the equipment, and produce customer-specified lengths. You will ensure smooth operation and meet production targets.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to stand for long periods, wear safety shoes and hearing protection, and to work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position may require working evenings and weekends as needed to meet schedule demands.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machine operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rewind large rolls of material by threading up the machine and running rolls to customers desired lengths.
• Wrap and identify finished rolls of fabric and bundle or palletize if required.
• Tag rolls for identification.
• Rewind rolls on hold by threading up and running roll to the area of flaw, remove flaw by splicing it if required.
• Conduct quality checks on material as required.
• Clean up, sweep area around the machine including the main aisle.
• Bundle and bail scrap material.
• Wear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.

POSITION SUMMARY

Takes a roll of fabric and rewinds it to remove a problem or break it down into smaller rolls to meet customer quality or quantity requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Rewind large rolls of material by threading up the machine and running rolls to customers desired lengths.
• Wrap and identify finished rolls of fabric and bundle or palletize if required.
• Tag rolls for identification
• Rewind rolls on hold by threading up and running roll to the area of flaw, remove flaw by splicing it if required.
• Conduct quality checks on material as required.
• Clean up, sweep area around the machine including the main aisle.

• Wear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.
