Job summary

NCCO International seeks a Rewind Operator to keep rewinders running and support backup operations. You will read job specs, select cores, and ensure finishing and packaging requirements are met while maintaining quality and efficient workflow.

You will also inspect products, assist in cutting and packaging, perform basic machine maintenance, and keep work areas clean. English instructions must be followed, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Keep rewinders up and running; backup rewind operator.
• Receive job assignments from supervisor or team lead and select correct cores and rewind method.
• Review job jacket to ensure finishing, packaging, and shipping specs are addressed.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and package for shipment.
• Observe material flow to detect irregular cutting and winding.
• Ensure quality of work including color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity.
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Remove or replace blades on inspection machines.
• Complete paperwork for each job and package finished goods for shipment.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.

Job description

Summary:

The Rewind Operator is responsible for keeping the rewinders up and running. Backup rewind operator. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

• Have full knowledge of all phases of label production
  • Art capabilities
  • Press Capabilities
  • Finishing capabilities
• Receives job assignments from Press Supervisor or Team Lead; reads job specifications and selects correct cores and rewind method for job
• Reviews the job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed.
• Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products
• Observes the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting and winding
• Ensure quality of work includes color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines
• Remove or replace blades on inspection machines
• Completes paperwork for each job and packages finished goods for shipment to the customer.
• Keeps work areas clean, clear, and organized; maintains housekeeping standards
