Summary of Job

The Rewinder Operator will be responsible for running the slitter/rewinder equipment. The Operator is responsible for leading a group of two (2) employees at the Rewinder station to ensure accuracy.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The right candidate will lead their job with a strong safety mindset including but not limited to:

• Ensure that all company safety procedures are followed to include OSHA compliance guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Abide by all company rules and policies regarding conduct and safety.
• Quality checking of all jobs- verifying rewinder specifications before beginning job. If any potential quality problems are found, inform the Production Supervisor.
• Slitting of jobs to customer specifications- proper width, length, scores, and perf or any other special instructions.
• Calculate and run jobs to counts specified on the production order sheets.
• Daily cleaning of the machine at the end of every shift- all rollers and nips are to be free of any foreign debris.
• Inspect finished goods for missed splices, and poor slitting to ensure quality.
• Remove defective material identified by the Corrugator Operator.

• Exposure to moving equipment.

• Noise may exceed 85dB+

Physical Characteristics

• Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 60 pounds)
• Occasional typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice-assisted as needed
