Job summary

Belmark Inc. is seeking a Rewind Operator for 1st shift at Plant 1. You will handle rewind labels from press rolls, inspect quality, and complete required paperwork.

Qualifications

• Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school education.
• Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
• Ability to set up and operate a rewind machine using a ruler, calculator, Allen wrench and screw driver.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; identify and distinguish colors.
• Ability to stand for 75% of work time; stoop, kneel or crouch for 20% of work time; and walk for 5% of work time.
• Ability to lift: 10 pounds or less 60% of work time; 25 pounds or less 25% of work time; and 50 pounds or less 15% of work time.
• May be asked to lift up to 70 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and uphold Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Set up rewind machine.
• Calculate labels per roll or bundle.
• Rewind labels per job instructions and meet minimum output.
• Inspect and remove defective labels.
• Identify products with accurate information.
• Complete packing slips and paperwork.
• Keep work area and machines clean and organized.
• May bundle labels or fanfold labels.
• May perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
