Job summary

Rock Entertainment Group is seeking a Machine Operator I - Rewind in Elgin, IL. You will operate rewind equipment, monitor quality, and support daily production with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include setup assistance, material loading, and changeovers, plus maintaining records and housekeeping. The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to learn rewind equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to follow work instructions, production orders, and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor rewind equipment to meet daily production goals.
• Follow safety procedures and work instructions to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with machine setup, material loading, and changeovers.
• Produce materials to customer specs including width, length, and other job requirements.
• Perform quality checks and notify supervisor of any concerns.
• Monitor machine performance and report issues promptly.
• Inspect finished materials and remove defects.
• Complete production records and job documentation accurately.
• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping of equipment and area.
• Collaborate with team to support production, quality, and safety goals.
• Learn equipment operation and manufacturing processes for growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
